Classical guitarists Hayley Savage and Dimitris Dekavallas are sharing the stage this year in a tour de force duo, combining Hayley's internationally recognised talents as a composer with the flair, virtuosity and exuberant musicality of the widely-acclaimed and multiple awardwinning Greek guitarist Dimitris.
Both players are former winners of the Ivor Mairants Guitar Award, run by the Worshipful Company of Musicians, and have come together to perform a new work by Hayley and other exciting music from across the centuries, culminating in a performance at the South Bank in May 2011.
Their programme promises to be exciting – showing the level that the classical guitar has now reached on the world stage – in the capable hands of some of today's finest players.
