A New Artist's Scheme production
Paul Norman is a young guitarist of only 22 but has a very developed understanding of classical music. He currently attends Birmingham conservatoire under the tuition of Mark Eden and Mark Ashford. During his time at the conservatoire Paul has performed in many master classes, highlights of which have been performances for John Williams, Xuefei Yang, and most recently a performance before the distinguished composer Stephen Dodgson.
Paul has also performed in numerous external engagements for larger ensemble most noticeably performing with the CBSO youth orchestra and a guitar concerto with the esteemed contemporary music group the BCMG. A confident composer of new music, Paul is a valued member of the conservatoire's vibrant composition department.
Studying under Ed Bennett Paul has composed pieces with and without guitar and recently gained the opportunity to compose for the renowned ensemble Decibel. Gifted with a natural aptitude towards composition Paul is passionate about contemporary music and his vivid characterful performances in the music of the 20th century has the power to move even the most cynical of listeners.
Paul Norman is an exciting new name in the world of classical guitar and one to remember; we think you will be hearing it quite a lot.
