A sparkling programme from the Kreutzer Trio surveying the brilliant flourishing of musical styles which came out of Europe within a space of 100 years from the middle of the eighteenth century to the middle of the nineteenth. A journey that embraces the serene beauty of Bach’s learned style the luminous graceful lines of the First Viennese School, and the lyrical sensuality of the romantics. A journey which climaxes in the sublime high classical trios of Blum, Carulli and Kreutzer.
Beautiful and uplifting pieces which sound as fresh today as the day they were conceived... attesting to the timeless power of the human imagination.
